Position: Senior Master Scheduler Planning Manager

Position Overview:
The Senior Master Scheduler/Planning Manager will develop, maintain, and execute the master production schedule, ensuring on-time and in full delivery to meet customer demands. This role involves close collaboration across production, program management, procurement, and supply chain teams to optimize planning and resource allocation.
You'll lead a team of six planners/schedulers with plans for further expansion, driving continuous improvement in planning processes within a fast-paced aerospace environment. Competitive Compensation
- Base salary range $140-160K, and annual bonus

Key Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling
- Develop and Maintain Schedule: Create and manage the master production schedule based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
- Optimize Production: Balance production capacities, inventory levels, and customer requirements to enhance efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
- Adapt as Needed: Continuously monitor and adjust schedules in response to production delays, supply chain changes, or shifts in customer demand.
- Resource Allocation: Lead site-wide labor, business, and capacity planning to align resources and maximize manufacturing utilization.
Planning and Coordination
- Collaborative Alignment: Partner closely with production, program management, procurement, and supply chain teams to synchronize resources and materials with production needs.
- Manage Lead Times: Coordinate with sales and customer service to manage lead times and set realistic delivery schedules.
- Strategic Focus: Ensure alignment between short-term production plans and long-term business objectives.
Inventory Management
- Optimize Stock Levels: Manage inventory to meet customer requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Safety Stock and Reorder Points: Establish and monitor reorder points and lead times to ensure material availability and prevent shortages.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify Process Improvements: Use production data to spot bottlenecks and inefficiencies, driving enhancements in planning and scheduling.
- Lead Initiatives: Actively participate in or lead cross-functional projects that elevate planning processes and performance.
- Monitor KPIs: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure planning and inventory effectiveness.
Systems and Tools
- Advanced Scheduling Software: Utilize ERP systems and advanced planning tools to create and maintain accurate production schedules.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure accurate data entry in ERP systems to provide real-time visibility of production and inventory levels.
- Best Practices: Promote and implement best practices in production planning and leverage new technologies as appropriate.
Team Leadership and Development
- Mentorship and Growth: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing development and training opportunities to build capabilities.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification is required.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing a team of direct reports.
- Strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams, including production, continuous improvement, program management, procurement, and supply chain.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office Suite; MS Project experience preferred.
- U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR regulations—the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
